1:48 Scale German Standard Size Bricks Mould (1480053)

The 1:48 scale German Standard Size Bricks mould produces 1:48 scale (O scale) German standard size bricks, this happens to be about the same size as 1:43.5 scale UK standard bricks (give or take a few 100^ths of a millimetre).

The mould produces a total of 240 bricks, half of which have frogs.

The 1:48 scale Bricks mould is an essential tool when it comes to adding rubble to a diorama with brick built ruins.

This mould will give you a virtually unlimited supply of 1:48 scale bricks if used with plaster (using some resins will reduce the life of the mould).

These moulds are made of a high quality platinum-cure silicone giving the mould an exceptionally long library life and high resistance to aggressive resins if you choose to use resin instead of plaster.

We recommend:

Good quality hard castings plaster. Some cheaper forms of Plaster of Paris are too soft for some weathering techniques.
Powder pigments to colour the plaster rather than painting the cast bricks.
The bricks in the product images were cast using Terracotta Casting Plaster with Iron and a touch of black and brown powder pigment.
