1:35 Scale Courses of Bricks (Flemish Bond) Mould (1350049)

The 1:35 Scale Courses of Bricks (Flemish Bond) Mould produces 7 individual courses (rows) of 1:35 scale German standard size bricks in Flemish Bond.

Each of the 7 courses of bricks cast with this mould contains 27 full bricks and a half brick near one end. The half brick makes the difficult task of constructing the corners and ends of Flemish Bond brick walls easy. The individual bricks even have 0.5 mm spacers on the top so you do not have to worry about the spacing between courses.

*Please note: these rows of bricks do not fit together like children’s plastic building blocks; the little squares on the top of the bricks are just spacers.

The courses of bricks cast with this mould have been designed so that they can be easily snapped to the desired length allowing you to build complex structures.

*Please note: due to the easy snap design, the courses of bricks may snap when removing them from the mould (unless you are very careful). This should not be a problem as they can still be used.

We recomend that you use the glass / plastic method to smooth of the surface of the mould (see the beginners guide on the Tips & Guides page).

This mould should give you a virtually unlimited supply of 1:35 scale courses of bricks if used with plaster.

These moulds are made of the high quality platinum-cure silicone giving the mould an exceptionally long library life and high resistance to aggressive resins if you choose to use resin instead of plaster.

We recommend:

Good quality hard castings plaster. Some cheaper forms of Plaster of Paris are too soft for some of the weathering techniques.
Powder pigments to colour the plaster rather than painting the cast bricks.
The bricks in the product images were cast using Terracotta Casting Powder with Iron and a touch of black powder pigment.
