1:35 Scale Victorian Terrace Arches Mould (1350072)

The 1:35 scale Victorian Terrace Arches Mould is used to cast parts that make 1:35 scale double or single Victorian style arches with a choice of two different keystone designs.

The arches have an inside diameter of 30.5 mm making them suitable for use above doors and windows.

The double arch could be used when the front doors of two terrace houses are positioned next to each other or to produce a row of arches.

These moulds are made of the high quality platinum-cure silicone giving the mould an exceptionally long library life and high resistance to aggressive resins if you choose to use resin instead of plaster.

A few tips on using this mould:

Work the plaster into the corners of the mould with a small paint brush to dislodge any bubbles.
Use the glass/plastic method to smooth off the plaster after filling the mould (see beginners guide on the tips & guides page), doing this will make sure the parts are exactly the same thickness.

Specifications:

Inside diameter of single arch: 30.5 mm.
Outside diameter of single arch: 49.5 mm.
Arch thickness (flat face to back): 7mm.

We recommend:

Good quality hard castings plaster. Regular Plaster of Paris will not be strong enough to cast the fine details.
Powder pigments to colour the plaster (we used a touch of black and yellow ochre in the product images).
